Potsdam - A Funeral service for Mr. Herbert L. Fisher, 67, will be held at Seymour Funeral Home on Saturday September 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM, with Kenneth Ashley Lay Pastor of Knapps Station Community Church officiating. Friends may call at Seymour Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery in Colton, New York. Mr. Fisher died on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Surviving Mr. Fisher are his wife, Colleen of Colton, one son, Christopher Barry of Vermont, two daughters Dawn and her husband Thomas Fifield of Colton, and Julie and her husband Christopher Johnson of West Stockholm. Two daughters by a previous marriage, along with ten brothers, five grandchildren: Tanika, Morris, Andrew, Brandon and Peyton and one great granddaughter Madisyn and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. Herbert was pre-deceased by Two brothers and one sister. Herbert was born August 14, 1945 in Massena, New York the son of Howard and Gertrude Jessmer Fisher. He graduated in 1965 from Brasher Central School. As a young man he helped on the Family Farm. He married Colleen Houston on November 8, 1980.

Arrangements are with the Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam.
