PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Carl L. Crump, 37, of 48 Willow St., Apt. 1, Massena, with petit larceny at 8:45 p.m. Monday. Police said the charge stemmed from an investigation into the theft of $252 from Dana Jock’s wallet. Ms. Jock said she had set her purse down on July 19 when she went to use the bathroom at Walmart, and the money was taken from her wallet at that time.



BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Tara L. Deshane, 22, of 351 East Orvis St., Apt. 1, Massena, on a bench warrant issued after she failed to appear as directed on a driving while intoxicated charge pending since July 2010. She was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and was released pending her next court appearance.



CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Chad G. Collins, 29, of County Route 43, Massena, for using a portable electronic device while operating a motor vehicle.



SPEEDING - MASSSENA - Village police ticketed Daniel W. Mitchell, 39, of state Route 11B, Potsdam, for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday on East Hatfield Street.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ron Haynes, 49, of Farmingdale for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday on East Hatfield Street.



UNSAFE BACKING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Russ Catalano, 35, of Potsdam for unsafe backing following a property damage accident at 10:43 a.m. Monday in the Key Bank parking lot.



INADEQUATE TAIL LIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Connor D. Terrance, 18, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with inadequate lights following a traffic stop at 1:01 a.m. Monday on East Orvis Street.
