POTSDAM - Many new items await shoppers at the Potsdam United Methodist Churchs annual bazaar and luncheon on Sept. 29.
Out of the destruction of the July thunder and windstorm has come creation – cake stands and trays crafted from a fallen tree near the church parsonage, hand sanded and varnished. These limited-edition, one-of-a-kind items join birch bark crafts, tiny trinkets, soup and cookie mixes, crocheted fingerless gloves, reindeer dust treats for the kids, handcrafted polished rock jewelry and much more.
A wide variety of traditional crafts, including baked goods, jams and jellies, well-stocked candy cupboard, RADA cutlery and other products, Christmas gifts, fresh homegrown garden produce, hand sewn, knitted, and crocheted items, attic treasures including toys and books, plants, and dried flowers are also featured.
The bazaar begins at 10 a.m. The luncheon – hearty soups, sandwiches, dessert and beverage — will be held upstairs in Fellowship Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is handicapped accessible with an elevator at the street level front door. Parking is available behind the church and in two nearby municipal lots.
For more information, call the church office at 265-7474.
