SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Christopher T. Welch, 26, of Chateaugay for speed in zone (47/30) following a traffic stop at 8:53 a.m. Monday on Market Street.

SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Shawn Urban, 36, of Sarnia, Ont., for speed in zone (50/30) following a traffic stop at 10:35 a.m. Monday on Maple Street.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Benjamin R. Tipping, 26, of Potsdam with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 11:09 a.m. Monday on Maple Street.

He wasarraigned by Potsdam Village Justice Nicholas Pignone and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.

0853Patrol completed a traffic stop on Market Street after observing a vehicle traveling south on Market Street at a high rate of speed.

0929 PVRS and patrols responded to the report of a 78-year-old female who has fallen and needs assistance.

1009 A temporary handicapped parking permit was issued to a village resident.

1035 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

1037 Potsdam Rescue dispatched for a male experiencing dizzy spells.

1109 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Cottage Street. Operator charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, arraigned in village court and sent to jail.

1510 Patrol completed an equipment inspection for a correctable traffic citation.

1632PVRS paged to respond to an address in the town of Stockholm.

1751Patrol responded to Midtown Apartments for a noise complaint.

1850Patrols responded to a burglar alarm at a local business.

1957 Received a larceny complaint. Investigation continues.

2030 Traffic stop on Maple Street. Verbal warning issued.

2047 Patrol responded along with the Potsdam Fire Department to an alarm at the Cactus Grill.

2100 Found property turned into the Police Department.
