BRASHER FALLS – Steven Clark Deshane, 55, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at Massena Memorial Hospital, where he was surrounded by the love and support of his family.

Steven was born November 20, 1956, the son of the late Frank and Esther (Gale) Deshane. He graduated from Salmon River Central School in 1975. He married Peggy Wilson on May 17, 1980, by the justice of the peace in Massena. At one time, he was employed at the Hills Department Store, Massena.

Steven is survived by his wife Peggy; a daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Dwayne Thompson; two granddaughters, Shayla and Tori Thompson; and his mother-in-law, Shirley Wilson all of Brasher Falls. Also surviving him are his siblings, Donald (Doris) Deshane, Dale (Janet) Deshane, Randall (Penny) Deshane, Patricia (Richard) Gray, and Marlene (Daniel White; a brother-in-law, Wayne and Lorien Wilson; and five sisters-in-laws, Penny (Randall) Deshane, Bobbi Jean Wilson, Kim and Jeremy Martin, Jane and Kevin Ward, and Theresa Deshane.

Besides his parents, Frank F. Deshane and Esther A. (Gale) (Deshane) Guyette, a brother, Gordon Edward Deshane, and his father-in-law Walter D. Wilson predecease him.

Shayla and Tori were the light of Steven’s life; he treasured every moment spent with them. When it came to fishing, camping, hunting or four-wheeling, Steven was ready to go to have a good time with his family and friends.

Following Steven’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services; however, never forget special times spent with him.
