CANTON Village police recently recovered approximately $37,000 of electronics and other goods allegedly purchased with stolen credit cards and sent to Canton.
On July 26, officials from the West Long Branch Police Department, located in New Jersey, contacted the Canton Police Department to report that many of the goods were being sent to a location within the village.
An individual who lives in the Canton residence, who is cooperating with the West Long Branch authorities, turned over the property to village police, which includes computers, home entertainment systems and cameras.
Police declined to identify the witness or their address because New Jersey police are still investigating to identify the person placing the orders.
