POTSDAM – Chuck (Charles) OShea, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 9, 2012.
His graveside service will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Clare with Rev. Beth Benham officiating. There will be no calling hours. French Funeral Home, Edwards is entrusted with his arrangements.
Chuck was born on January 9, 1945 in Russell to Elmer OShea who survives him and the late Harriett (Donnelly) OShea. He attended Knox Memorial School in Russell.
He married Claudia W. Ashley on May 21, 1964 in Russell. The couple moved from Russell to Potsdam in 1970. Chuck was an auto mechanic for Walt Nickerson and Sons in Potsdam for 25 years.
Chuck enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving his new Mustang, cooking and hunting. He was always puttering and tinkering with things around the house. Chuck loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren.
His survivors include his father, Elmer OShea; his wife, Claudia; three daughters and their husbands, Laurie and Audie Jerome, Peggy and Walter Shyne, Tracy and Ken Murray; his two sisters; Dorothy and Bob Powers, Linda and Gene Clyde; and six brothers, Robert and Sue, Gerald and his companion, Kelly Tresidder, Clarence and Adair, Marvin and his companion Janet House, Brian and his companion Maria OHannolin, and Robin and Shelley; sisters-in-law, Betty and Paula OShea; and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Charles and Melissa Shyne, Ashley Lottie and her husband, Brandon, Trevor and his wife, Leann Jerome, and Kennedy and Jarrett Murray
He is predeceased by a daughter, Julie Ann, who died in infancy; his mother; two brothers, Steven and Bruce and OShea; and his great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Sierra Lottie.
