Morristown residents jailed after domestic dispute

MORRISTOWN — Two town of Oswegatchie residents were jailed at 3:48 p.m. Monday after state police responded to a domestic dispute.

Wayne Wood, 37, and Kira L. Paige, 30, McCormick Road, each were charged with third-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, acting in a manner injurious to a child and second-degree harassment.

During a domestic incident reported at 3 p.m. Monday, Ms. Paige allegedly chased Mr. Wood with a butcher knife and threatened to kill him. Mr. Wood then threatened her with a weapon, troopers said, though they did not disclose what the weapon was.

The dispute allegedly occurred in front of a 15-year-old, troopers said.Mr. Wood and Ms. Paige were being held in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond.
