MORRISTOWN An Ogdensburg man accused of breaking into an apartment and causing damage was arrested by state police and jailed at 11:52 a.m. Sunday.
Jamie A. Kennedy, 42, of 23 Richardson Road, was charged with second-degree burglary and second- and third-degree criminal mischief, all felonies. He also was charged with two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
Mr. Kennedy allegedly broke into an apartment at 409 Main St. on Friday and threw a bicycle across the living room, striking a coffee table and a bookshelf.
He then exited the residence, backed into a vehicle parked outside and smashed windows on the car, troopers said.
Mr. Kennedy was sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $35,000 bail or $70,000 bond. He is to answer the charges Thursday in Morristown Town Court.
