OGDENSBURG — An Ogdensburg teenager who allegedly tried to steal from a Brier Hill store was arrested by state police at 7 p.m. Monday.

Brandon E. Shaver, 17, of 4231 County Route 6, was charged with attempted petit larceny, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and trespassing.

He allegedly tried to steal from Stout’s Ready Mix, Sand Street, then fled when an employee approached. He also was found with 50 grams of marijuana, troopers said.

He was issued an appearance ticket for Morristown Town Court.
