CANTON - The Potsdam Central varsity girls volleyball team gained its first NAC win of the season on Tuesday after sweeping past Canton 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.
Rachel Sanderson scored five points for the Golden Bears (1-3).
In the other NAC volleyball matches on Tuesday, OFA swept Edwards-Knox and Gouverneur stopped Madrid-Waddington in four sets.
OFA 3, E-K 0: Sky Hoover scored 11 points to lead the Blue Devils (2-2) to a 25-21, 25-9, 25-22 win over the host Lady Cougars in Russell.
Nicole Hendricks had nine kills for E-K (1-3).
Gouverneur 3, M-W 1: Kortnee Bishop scored 19 points, including eight aces, and added five kills as the Wildcats won 25-19, 17-25, 25-12, 25-10 over Madrid-Waddington (0-3) in Gouverneur. Leesa Isereau had 27 sets and 10 service points for the Wildcats (2-2).
