ASSAULT - PIERREPONT - Canton-based state police charged John L.Vezina, 23, of Canton with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment Wednesday following an investigation reported to troopers at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 7 from the town of Pierrepont.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CANTON - Canton-based state police investigated a two-vehicle property damage accident on a private road near Old Route 11. Troopers said Brian M. Curtis, 18, of Potsdam struck a parked vehicle.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - NORFOLK - Massena-based state police charged Peter J. Shantie, 33, of Massena with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 4:10 p.m. Sept. 14 on County Route 49 in the town of Norfolk.

ENDANGERING WELFARE - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Douglas H. Wilson, 35, of Massena with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation reported at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday from the village of Massena.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - WINTHROP - Winthrop-based state police investigated a two-vehicle property damage accident at 5:17 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Stewart’s parking lot at state routes 11C and 420 in the town of Stockholm. Troopers said the vehicles were operated by Courtney E. Church, 28, and Dustin J. Green, 28, both of Winthrop.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Kaylene P. Cartier, 19, of Massena with unlawful possession of marijuana following an incident reported at 3:42 a.m. Thursday in the town of Fort Covington. Troopers said they filed the charge on Cartier at 348 Upper Ridge Road in the town of Brasher.
