Texas: Mary E. Giroux, 92, of Cypress, TX and formerly of Alden St. Massena, NY died Tuesday morning (September 18, 2012) at the Carol Care Home Hospice Care in Texas surrounded by her family. Mary was born on September 21, 1919 in Massena, NY the daughter of John and Phoebe (Tyo) Bulger. She was educated in Massena Schools. Mary married Leon G. Giroux on June 22, 1946 at the Church of the Sacred Heart by the Rev. Michael Jarecki. Mr. Giroux preceded her in death August 10, 1963. In earlier years Mary was employed at Mica Plant and later as a clerk at Newberrys and then at W.T. Grants Store.
Following the closure of W.T. Grants Mary was a clerk at Ames Department Store. She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Elizabeth Wehunt of Jonesboro, GA; John Leon and Alice Giroux of Bradenton, FL; Lawrence J.
and Grace of Houston, Tx. seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters Beatrice Bulger, Lydia King and a brother Herrick A. Bulger. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Josephs Church in Massena. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Massena.
