Mr. Paul Herbert Waite, age 84 of Potsdam, NY passed away on September 18, 2012 at his residence in the Town of Potsdam surrounded by his loving family, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, the 21st at noon at the Garner Funeral Service. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Thursday from 4-7pm. Contributions in his memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Paul worked as a construction worker until he went to Potsdam State College where he worked as a maintenance custodian retiring after 21 years.

Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary E. Waite; his son John A and wife Mary M. Waite of Shelby, NC; a brother Sidney and his wife Lois Waite of Virginia; a brother Roy Waite; a sister Martha Christy of Potsdam and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his friends and relatives.
