The Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam womens volleyball teams both netted wins against league rivals on Friday.
CLARKSON AT RIT
Clarkson (11-3 overall) improved to 2-0 in the Liberty League with a 25-18, 25-17, 25-21 sweep of the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester.
Aishvina Arasu led Clarkson with 12 kills and Danielle Farabee had nine kills for the Golden Knights.
St. Lawrence University (5-11, 1-2) split a pair of matches in Rochester.
The Saints opened with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-23 loss to Vassar and then defeated Bard 25-20, 25-10, 25-18. Christina Deschaine and Rebecca Doser each had seven kills for the Saints in the win over Bard.
SUNY POTSDAM IN CORTLAND
SUNY Potsdam (10-6 overall) went 2-0 on the first day of SUNYAC East Pool Play in Cortland.
The Bears swept SUNY Oneonta 25-16, 25-23, 25-15. Jenna Blujus led the team with 22 assists and Rachel Auerbach had eight kills.
SUNY Potsdam added a 24-26, 25-14, 25-15, 25-22 win over SUNY Plattsburgh with Blujus producing 44 assists and Auerbach 15 kills. Kayla Howard and Dakota Pruiss each had 10 kills
MENS GOLF
Colton native Mike Reilly was the overall winner with a one-over par 72 helping lead SUNY Canton to a second-place finish at the Cazenovia Invitational.
SUNY ESF edged the Kangaroos by one stroke to claim the team title.
