PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Barry K. Hill III , 22, of 66 Spruce St., with three counts of petit larceny at 6:05 a.m. Saturday at 2218 state Route 420.

Police said the charges stemmed from the theft of two cases of beer from Price Chopper and a can of beer from Sunoco late Thursday night and the theft of two 12-packs of Labatt’s from Sunoco on Aug. 8.

Police said when they went to Hill’s residence early Friday morning, but he fled out a back window. He was located in a reported heavily intoxicated state Saturday morning at the state Route 420 address and was taken into custody.

He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.

PROBATION VIOLATION - MASSENA - Village police said Nolan P. Mitchell, 23, of 6 Maple St., Massena, turned himself in on a St. Lawrence County Court probation violation warrant at 9:31 p.m. Saturday. He was sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility pending an appearance in county court.

OPEN CONTAINER - MASSENA - Village police charged Susan St. Onge, no age available, Massena, with an open container violation at 2:25 a.m. Sunday on Main Street.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Jason D. Tassie, 29. of 8 Tracy St., Massena, with unlawful possession of marijuana at 11:36 a.m. Saturday after he was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana when he was being taken into custody on first-degree burglary and second-degree aggravated sexual abuse charges.

CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Monica K. Schulz, 21, of County Route 23, Malone, for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 11:04 a.m. Sunday on Main Street.

EQUIPMENT VIOLATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Tiffany L. Larock, 33, of Massena for an equipment violation - inadequate safety glass following a traffic stop at 10:50 a.m. Sunday.

ILLEGAL TINT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Bruce E. Green II, 22, of state Route 420, Massena, for operation of amotor vehicle with illegally tinted windows following a traffic stop at 10:52 p.m. Saturday in the Harte Haven Shopping Plaza.

TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Brian Lee Acosta, 41, of Jasper, Ga., for failure to obey a traffic control device at 7:18 a.m. Saturday on state Route 37.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT - MASSENA - Village police charged Mary Brewer, 17, of 2 River St., Apt. 2, Massena, and Brandan W. Smith, 20, of Highland Road, Massena, with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police responded to a noise complaint at 3:15 a.m. Saturday on James Street. Police said Smith was repeatedly revving his car’s engine, and Brewer was making unncecessary noise.

STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Hannah M. Allen, 22, of Massena for a stop sign violation following a traffic near Highland at Ransom at 5:40 p.m. Friday.

FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Sueanna Earle, 43, of Massena for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk following a traffic stop at 3:48 p.m. Friday on Phillips Street.
