ST. REGIS FALLS – A fire was reported late Wednesday in St. Regis Falls involving a home on North Street across from the former St. Regis Falls school.

St. Regis Falls firefighters were dispatched to the scene shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday and quickly called for more departments to provide mutual aid. Brushton, Moira, Dickinson, Malone Callfiremen, Saranac Lake, Brasher -Winthrop and Paul Smiths/Gabriels were either on scene or on standby as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. Firefighters at the scene also called in Franklin County Fire Police, New York State Police, and the Franklin County Cause and Origin Team.
