UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Jesse G. Monroe, 34, of Norfolk with unlawful possession of marijuana at 2:20p.m. Wednesday under the bridge behind Market Square Mall. Police said they had responded to a complaint from a motorist that a man stared him down and then proceeded to go under a bridge behind the Market Square Mall. Patrols responded to this location and located Monroe allegedly smoking marijuana.

0140 Officer located an open door at a local business. Building was cleared, and the door was secured.

0213 Received a report of a suspicious vehicle.

0615 Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

0820 Took custody of an individual at Village Court and held in police lockup until arrangements could be made to transport him to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility. Subject had been sentenced to five months in county jail.

1155 Assisted an individual in getting a handicap parking permit.

1414 Caller states a male just approached his vehicle and stared him down before then crawling under the bridge behind the Market Square Mall.Patrols were dispatched to investigate the intentions of this person and located Jesse Monroe who was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was issued an appearance ticket.

1429 Dispatched the Rescue Squad to Mayfield Drive.

1433 A paper delivery person called and stated an elderly individual has not picked up his paper from his porch in three days and his car is still in his driveway, which has her concerned about his safety. Patrols responded and were unable to make contact but being familiar with the subject in question were able to locate associates of his and learned the subject is out of town.

1500 A motorist called and stated that two bicycles with guys in there mid 20s on them cut in front of him causing him to almost hit the bikes. Words were exchanged with the driver, which included threats, and the men on bikes took off.The motorist called but the bikes could not be located.

1510 Patrols were made aware to be observant for a dog lost in the Leroy Street area.

1543 Patrols and Potsdam Rescue were dispatched to a possible overdose call.

1645 Equipment inspection completed for an individual.

1645 Record check completed for the local Housing Authority.

1715 A patrol responded to Walnut Street for a complaint of an animal in distress.

1745 Assisted the state police with an investigation.

1900 Patrol responded to a property damage accident in the Pizza Hut lot.

2108 Property damage accident on Pierrepont Avenue.

2132 ID check at CJ’s Kegs and Cases.
