St. Lawrence Central battled Chateaugay to a 3-3 overtime tie while Colton-Pierrepont blanked Brushton-Moira 3-0 in NAC East Division varsity boys soccer action on Friday.
SLC 3, Chateaugay 3 (OT): In Chateaugay, both teams had the lead before settling for the tie.
Ian Lynch scored all three goals for SLC, opening the scoring in the fourth minute with an unassisted goal before Chateaugay stormed back with two goals in the next two minutes. Tyler Martin pulled the Bulldogs even in the fifth minute from Colby Woodward before Chad Stalter made it 2-1 off an assist from Devin Willis in the sixth.
Lynch knotted the game at 2-2 with a second unassisted goal 12 minutes into the second half then put the Larries ahead when he completed his hattrick in the 26th minute. Stalter sent the game into overtime when he scored from Martin with 3:37 left in regulation.
Tyler Savage had 11 saves tending goal for the Larries (2-4-1, 2-3-1) while Devon Barnes (4 saves) and Josh Trombley (3 saves) shared crease duties for the Bulldogs (2-3-2, 2-3-1).
C-P 3, B-M 0: At Swift Field in South Colton, the Colts (5-4, 4-3) built a 3-0 halftime lead and made it stand for the win. Andrew Holden netted the only goal the Colts would need in the fourth minute assisted by Alex Harcourt then made it 2-0 in the 27th minute from Gyle Dominy, who connected for the third C-P goal a minute later off an assist from Harcourt.
Craig Miller handled the four shots he faced working the crease for the shutout. Taylor Tallman had four saves for the Panthers (3-3, 2-2).
