Michael L. Carr, 18, of 6421 County Route 10, Lisbon, was arrested Thursday at 11:50 p.m. for endangering the welfare of a child. Ogdensburg said he pushed his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend into a vehicle in the parking lot at Wal-Mart, 3000 Ford St. Extension, earlier in the evening. She was identified as Courtney L. Woodside, of 609 Pray Road, Ogdensburg.
Mr. Carr pleaded not guilty to the charge in city court on Friday. He is due back in court on Oct. 4 with legal counsel from the St. Lawrence County Public Defenders Office.

City police are investigating the theft of four lengths of copper pipe from the basement of a residence at 708 Greene St. Sgt. Matthew R. Erwin said Friday that the stolen pipes were between four and 10 feet in length. Police were notified of the stolen pipes by the buildings owner, Phillip Burnett, Rensselaer Falls.
