MASSENA - More than 2,000 MED customers were without power for an hour this morning, but chances are none of them even realized it until they woke up and saw flashing numbers on their alarm clocks.
MED Deputy Superintendent Dale F. Raymo said the outage, which was caused by a tripped breaker and knocked out power to the villages south side lasted from 3:40 a.m. to 4:40 a.m.
Its one of the older breakers and its in the process of being replaces as we speak, Mr. Raymo said Monday morning. There were no indication of faults anywhere.
He said the replacement of the breaker was something planned before this mornings outage.
Mr. Raymo said the outage knocked power out to 2,141 customers.
