An Ogdensburg man was jailed Monday following a domestic incident on Sunday.
Audie T. Middlemiss, 50, of 819 New York Ave., was charged Sunday at 8:26 p.m. with first-degree criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest, Ogdensburg police said. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in city court Monday and was sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for Thursday.
Court documents stated that Mr. Middlemiss struck and pushed Maxine M. Jerome, 21, same address, in front of her 6-year-old son, violating a court order of protection. He also allegedly pushed an Ogdensburg police patrolman who was attempting to arrest him.
Mr. Middlemiss was also to told to abide by a no-contact order of protection for Miss Jerome.
