Junior Bassmasters honor top anglers

The Northern New York Junior Bassmasters Club completed a memorable 2012 season on Sunday night with an awards banquet at the Ogdensburg Community Center

Garrison Moore was honored as the Angler of the Year and John Johnson IV was recognized for catching the Lunker of the Year. Both awards were presented in memory of Gloria Curatolo who was a dedicated supporter of the club.

Sportsmanship Awards presented in memory of Alen J. O’Marah went to Keighan Sias, John Johnson IV, Damien VanOrnnum, Quinton Denner and Jacob Corbine.

Awards were also presented to the top three finishers of the club’ monthly tournaments.

In the June 24 Tournament on the St. Lawrence River out of Ogdensburg Joey Kiah placed first followed Austyn Chase anmd Cotee Bidwell.

In the July Tournament on Black Lake Garrison Moore placed first followed by Chandler Barney and John Johnson IV.

In The August Tournament staged on the St. Lawrence River out of Morristown Garrison Moore placed first followed by Spencer Woodard and Jacob Corbine.

In the September Tournament staged on the St. Lawrence River out of Ogdensburg Damien VanOrnum placed first followed by Joey Kiah and Zachary Bidwell.
