BENCH WARRANT - POTSDAM - Village police said Ryan L. Donaldson, 24, of Potsdam turned himself in on a bench warrant for failure to pay fine in Potsdam Village Court at 4:10 p.m. Friday at the Potsdam Police Department. He was arraigned by Acting Village Justice Margaret Garner, paid the fine and was released.

BENCH WARRANT - POTSDAM - Village police saud Nichole L. Harmer, 30, of Potsdam turned herself in on a bench warrant for failure to pay fine in Potsdam Village Court at 5:10 p.m. Friday at the Potsdam Police Department. She was arraigned by Potsdam Village Justice Nicholas Pignone, paid her fine and surcharges and was released.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Maria Coppola, 19 of Ogdensburg with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed her for following too closely following a property damage accident at 11:51 a.m. Friday on Market Street near Munson Street. Police said Coppola rear ended a vehicle being operated by Susan Goodrow of St. Regis Falls, causing the Goodrow vehicle to strike a third vehicle being operated by Nicholas Carrara of Potsdam.

FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Alfred T. Ashley Jr., 43, of North Bangor, for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in the crosswalk on Main Street following a traffic stop at 7:12 p.m. Friday.

UNSAFE LANE CHANGE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Barbara L. Manley, 42, of Lima, for moving from lane unsafely at 11:15 p.m. Friday following property damage accident on Maple Street.

0010 - State police request patrols respond to U.S. Highway 11 near the Regan Road. They received areport of an elderly male subject wearing a hospital gown walking in the roadway. Patrol responded.

0016 - Officer responded to a noise complaint on State Street.

0029 - Officer observed a subject litter on Main Street. Verbal warning issued.

0029 - Officer observed two subjects with open containers on Main Street. Verbal warning issued.

0110 - Officer observed two subjects attempting to gain access into a building on Main Street.

0126 - Received a report of a disturbance on Cherry Street. Patrols responded.

0216 - Officer observed two subjects engaged in a verbal altercation. Parties separated without incident.

0244 - Officer responded to a noise complaint on Main Street.

0327 - Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

0727 - Parking meter bags were provided for use downtown.

0806 - Bench warrant received from Potsdam Village Court for Elizabeth M. Laraby for violation of probation.

0930 - Police received notice of an orderly protest scheduled to take place downtown on Oct. 6.

0939 - Victim reports his bicycle was stolen from outside of his residence overnight.

0950 - Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call.

1151 - Property damage three-vehicle accident reported on Market Street in the vicinity of Munson Street.

1309 - Caller reports she is missing a large amount of cash from her apartment.

1315 - Caller reports several items were stolen from her car last evening.

1318 - Larceny of a crosswalk sign from Clarkson Campus reported by Clarkson Campus Safety.

1324 - Report of harassment and underage drinking which occurred on Oct. 4on Clarkson Campus filed by Clarkson Campus Safety with police.

1328 - Resident reports someone just drove through his backyard, and he would like to see a patrol. Responding officer spoke with the driver and complainant and the matter was resolved.

1343 - Patrol dispatched to T&R Liquor to check the validity of a driver’s license at the request of store personnel.

1359 - Village resident requested her fingerprints taken for security clearance.

1428 - Subject reports she was physically restrained by a male in a local establishment last evening. She was able to break away from his advances but was not able to locate him once she told staff about the attack.

1501 - Parking permit issued to person with disability.

1631 - Patrol dispatched to Maple Street overpass to attend to a drainage gate reported to be popped up. Gate was replaced with assistance of a sheriff’s deputy, and a couple of sandbags were used to keep the gate in place.

1648 - Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a motor vehicle accident intersection of SH 345/CR 35.

1712 - Caller reports a strong odor of natural gas or sewer gas in her neighborhood. There was no longer an odor upon arrival of patrol.

1714 - Patrol dispatched to check on a report of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Route 11B entering the village.

1845 - Key and remote unlocking device found on Market Street and turned into PPD.

1911 - Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a mutual aid call.

1912 - Traffic stop on Main Street. Ticket issued.

1952- Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call for traffic control.

2053- Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call for a helicopter transport.

2156- Reported harassment incident at Clarkson. Victim declined to press charges.

2315- Property damage accident on Maple Street. Ticket issued.

Barbara L. Manley(42) of Lima, NY, was issued a ticket for moving from lane unsafely following property damage accident on Maple Street. The ticket is returnable in Potsdam Village Court on 10/24/2012 am.
