Ogdensburg beer wholesaler A.J. Missert is expanding its warehouse.
The 70-year-old, family-run business at 1001 Champlain St., plans to build a 6,400-square-foot addition to its existing 29,000-square-foot warehouse.
The reason for the expansion, according to co-owner James Missert, is so that the business can accommodate the storage of more product for distribution.
This summer we took on some new no-alcoholic (beverage) lines, Mr. Missert said Monday.
The expansion isnt expected to create any new jobs at Misserts, where there are already more than 20 employees.
Not at this point, Mr. Missert.
The city planning and development board will meet today at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall to consider an amendment to the Missert proposal to include a paved parking lot.
A.J. Missert has another distribution center in Watertown.
