OGDENSBURG - The Norwood-Norfolk varsity boys and girls cross country teams both gained NAC sweeps over host OFA and Salmon River on Tuesday.
BOYS MEET
The Flyers took four of the top six places in downing OFA 22-33 and Salmon River 16-39. Kyle Fulk paced N-N by placing second in 18:06 behind OFAs Andy Cole, who led the field in 17:56. Devon Grant ran third for the Flyers in 19:17 followed by Adam Saucier in 19:18. Connor Levison placed sixth in 19:43 while Ben Gushlaw rounded out the top five finishers for N-N by placing eighth in 20:38.
Jayson Cook was Salmon Rivers top finisher, placing seventh in 20:07.
GIRLS MEET
In the girls meet, Kaycie Saucier anchored the Lady Flyers sweep by placing first overall in a time of 19:08. Leah Livernois ran third in 21:03 and Jessica Fulk took fifth in 21:48. Rounding out the top five for N-N were Natasha Dominique (8th, 23:44) and Maddie Stewart (9th, 24:28).
The Lady Flyers outscored OFA 22-33 while Salmon River fielded an incomplete team.
Caroline Russell highlighted the Salmon River effort by placing 10th overall in 24:29.
MEET AT MALONE
In another NAC tri-meet on Tuesday, the host Franklin Academy boys swept Gouverneur (17-44) and Canton (15-50) while the Canton girls swept FA (17-41) and Gouverneur (15-50).
