POTSDAM - The Potsdam Central varsity girls volleyball team downed NAC West rival Gouverneur in three straight sets on Wednesday.
Kelsey Travis served up 17 points, including three aces, and had a kill as the Lady Sandstoners won by scores of 25-10, 25-20, 25-12. Katie Burke added 16 points, one ace, and two kills toward the winning effort while Sara Villamore tallied 10 points, two aces, 18 kills, 13 sets and four assists. In the other NAC matches on Wednesday, Canton stopped E-K in four sets (25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 25-10), Franklin Academy swept Tupper Lake (25-22, 25-16, 25-13) and OFA did likewise to Madrid-Waddington (25-8, 25-18, 25-14).
