MASSENA - Three people were transported to Massena Memorial Hospital following an incident at 7 p.m. Monday on Bishop Avenue.
Massena Village Police Chief Timmy J. Currier said the incident could be related to a possible robbery attempt Monday evening at at 15 Bishop Ave.
He said one victim suffered a gunshot wound, a second had stab wounds to the legs and a third victim suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Mr. Currier said none of the injuries were life threatening.
More than one suspect reportedly fled on foot from the scene and entered vehicles. Massena volunteer firefighters searched Bishop Avenue for evidence but no weapons were discovered.
Police are currently seeking a search warrant for the Bishop Avenue residence.
