UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - POTSDAM - Village police charged Fabian M. Adams, 18, of Potsdam with unlawful possession of marijuana at 11 p.m. Wednesday in the Main Street lot. Police said they responded to a complaint of a subject in the Main Street lot who was reported to have been smoking marijuana in the movie theater. Patrol made contact with the suspect and further investigation revealed Adams was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Adams was released an appearance ticket.

BENCH WARRANTS - POTSDAM - Potsdam Village Court issued 26 bench warrants Oct. 5 for unpaid fines and surcharges. Police said eight of those warrants are still outstanding. They include:

FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Tanveer Islam, 40, of Potsdam, for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian on Main Street following a traffic stop at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday.

1321 Potsdam Police performed background check for the State Department.

1400 Potsdam Police performed background check for state police.

1411 Potsdam Police dispatched to assist motorist locked out of car.

1424 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call at SUNY Potsdam.

1519 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call at Potsdam Central High School.

1634 Patrol assisted representatives from the New York State Department of Labor with a cash register levy at a local business.

1717 Traffic stop on Main Street. Ticket issued.

1846 Traffic stop on Pierrepont Avenue. Verbal warning issued for crosswalk violation on Main Street.

1851 Caller reports having an altercation with his 14-year-old son, who has now taken off. Juvenile officer dispatched.

1918 Received call from employee at Canton-Potsdam Hospital Chemical Dependency reporting that a client has thrown a rock, breaking a car window. Patrol dispatched.

1922 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call in SUNY Potsdam.

1923 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call in West Potsdam.

2130 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to a call in Norwood.
