PLATTSBURGH Despite dominating the game statistically the St. Lawrence University mens soccer team had to settle for a 0-0 tie in a nonconference game against SUNY Plattsburgh Wednesday night.
The Saints (12-2-2 overall) outshot SUNY Plattsburgh 10-3 and SLU goalie Nate Goss-Woliner did not have to make a save to record the shutout. Andy Heighington made four saves for the Cardinals (16-2-1).
WOMENS SOCCER
SUNYIT 3, SUNY CANTON 2
The Kangaroos scored the first two goals but then saw the win slip away with a goal from SUNYITs Dakota Hanley in the 74th minute of a nonconference game in Marcy.
Melissa Campoverde scored in the third minute for SUNY Canton (7-10-1) and assisted on a goal from Brittany Pierce in the 23rd minute. Stephanie Wurz scored in the 25th minute for SUNYIT (9-9) and Jamie Elderboom tied the game with a goal in the 36th minute.

SUNY CORTLAND 3, ST. LAWRENCE 0
The Red Dragons had a 32-3 edge in shots on St. Lawrence (2-13) in a nonconference victory in Cortland.
Katie Barbagallo and Erin Carrino scored in the first half for SUNY Cortland (8-6) and Sara Woodward scored in the second half.
