A Gouverneur man used Skype on the Internet to watch his wife have sexual performance with a 15 year-old girl, state police allege.

The couple, Shawn S.S. Raymo, 22, and Jessica M. Raymo, 21, both of 3177 Route 58, Gouverneur, were arrested by state police at Watertown Tuesday on charges of using a child under age 17 in a sexual performance and endangering the welfare of a child.

They were arraigned before town of LeRay Justice George E. Mead III, who fixed bail for each at $5,000.

The couple were being held Wednesday morning in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.

Police charged them in an incident alleged to have occurred at about noon on July 1, 2011, in the town of LeRay. Court documents allege that Mrs. Raymo engaged in sexual contact, including oral contact, with the girl while her husband “watched this sexual performance via the internet.”

Mrs. Raymo was living at Fort Drum at the time, and Mr. Raymo was deployed in Afghanistan, police said.

The teenager provided investigators a statement about her participation, according to the court documents.

The investigation was opened on Aug. 22.
