Madrid-Waddington earned a 2-1 boys and 2-0 girls win over St. Regis Falls on Friday afternoon in Northern Athletic Conference play.
Madrid-Waddington 2, St, Regis Falls 1 OT: Greg Thompson scored the game winning goal in the 96th minute of play from Colin OBryan for the Jackets (8-5-2, 8-3-1) after Dan Cassada forced overtime with a goal 26 seconds left in regulation. Ryan Duquette scored on a direct kick in the 60th.
TJ Gagnon and Zach Brock shared the win in net. Michael Smith worked the crease for St. Regis Falls (2-11, 2-10).
Brushton-Moira 0, Parishville-Hopkinton 0: Parker Measheaw stopped seven shots in the tie for Parishville-Hopkinton (8-4-2, 7-3-2 NAC East) at Brushton-Moira (9-4-2, 8-3-2 NAC East).
Taylor Tallman made five saves for Brushton-Moira.
Colton-Pierrepont 2, Chateaugay 1: Alex Harcourt scored in the 62nd minute to break the 1-1 tie for the Colts (10-5, 9-4 NAC East) over the Bulldogs (9-4-3, 9-4-1 NAC East in South Colton.
Gyle Dominy who assisted the game winning goal scored the Colts first tally in the 4th minute.
Chateaugays Zach Cowan scored in the 33rd minute to tie the game. Craig Miller had three saves for C-P. Josh Trombley stoppped three shots for the Bulldogs.
St. Lawrence Central 4, Norwood-Norfolk 1: The Larries (3-9-2, 3-8-2 NAC East) scored the first three goals in the game all assisted by Ian Lynch in the first six minutes at Norwood-Norwood (2-13, 2-12 NAC East).
Luke Arquitt scored in the 4th minute, Kody Kocsis connected in the 5th and Nathan McLaughin tallied a goal in the 6th. Zeb Brown scored in the 16th to break Tyler Savages (seven save shutout). Ian Lynch scored the final goal in the 29th from Arquitt.
Garrett Waite made seven saves for Norwood-Norfolk.
Madrid-Waddington 2, St. Regis Falls 0: Marybeth Youngs connected from Taylor Lenney in the 30th minute and Cassidy Scott scored her first Yellowjacket goal in the 62nd from Lenney as M-W improved to 7-3-2 over the Saints (0-15).
Taylor has been really playing excellent soccer for us especially distributing the ball. And Zoe Zagrobelny and Makayla Blair are also playing well, said M-W coach Gary Tischler.
Shelby Kendall (four saves) and Emily Doegler (two saves) shared the shutout. Kiana Stowell had 11 saves for the Saints.
