Acting on the advice of St. Lawrence County emergency services personnel, schools in the county have announced plans for early dismissals with no afterschool activities.
Massena, Potsdam and Norwood-Norfolk central schools will be closing their middle and high schools at 11 a.m. and their elementary schools at noon.
Parishville-Hopkinton will close at noon, and Colton-Pierrepont will send students home at 1:30 p.m.
St. Lawrence Central will dismiss its middle and high school students at 1 p.m. and its elementary students at 2 p.m.
Madrid-Waddington will dismiss its high school building at noon and its elementary school at 1 p.m.
Salmon River, Brushton-Moira and St. Regis Falls will be sending students home at 1 p.m.
