In response to reports that the city of Ogdensburg fared well through Hurricane Sandy, Denise R. Leclair wanted to set the record straight.
A section of her roof at 201 Paterson St. was ripped up by a strong burst of wind during Monday nights storm.
It ripped right back like a tuna can, she said.
Her husbands shed, in the back yard, also sustained damage and is leaning over, held up by a brick.
It was just the right gust, said Ms. Leclair.
None of the other houses in the neighborhood have visible damage.
She said she has spoken to her insurance company and contractors, and estimates the damage at $6,800.
