Two people who live at 627 Urban St. were charged by state police at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday and held in jail.

State police said they had an arrest warrant for Rusty T. Simmons, 24, who allegedly was violating the conditions of his sentencing from an earlier charge.

Police said Mr. Simmons’s girlfriend, Erin J. Geary, 23, was informed of the warrant and was told to report Mr. Simmons’s whereabouts if he contacted her.

The two were found together when they were charged, police said.

Mr. Simmons was charged with violating condition of sentence and criminal possession of marijuana; Ms. Geary was charged with hindering prosecution.

Both were taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and held on $2,000 bail.
