Funeral Services for Levi Sovie, age 35, will be held Saturday, November 3, at 10:00a.m. at St. Marys Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery following funeral services. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8p.m. at Frary Funeral Home. Mr. Sovie passed away Tuesday morning in a car accident in North Carolina.
Levi is survived by his companion, Deborah Scanlan, a daughter Leah Christine Sovie, a brother; Robert Ott and his wife Julie of Louisville, Kentucky, his mother, Christine Sovie and her companion John Bressett and his father, John Sovie. He is also survived by his grandmother Arlene Teuscher of Hammond, NY. He is also survived by a father figure, Billy Norman of Ogdensburg and a niece Sydney Marie Ott.
Levi was born April 9th, 1977, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of John and Christine Conklin Sovie. He attended school at Ogdensburg Free Academy and then moved to Leland, North Carolina in 1996 where for the past 17 years he operated Sovies Construction Service. He also worked for Screen Gem where he built movie sets.
He enjoyed playing his guitar, cooking, fishing, spending time at the ocean, and loved spending time with his daughter. He also loved his pet dog, Red.
