Giarratano, 18, of 94 Woodlawn Ave., Massena, with fourth-degree criminal mischief, petit larceny, second-degree harassment and trespassing. He also was picked up on a warrant for a violation of probation. He reportedly bodychecked Riverdale Apartments manager Peter Devine during an incident at 8:44 p.m. Oct. 29 in apartment 41 at 90 East Orvis St. and then jumped out of a window, damaging the screen and blinds. The damaged items were valued at $44.31. He is charged with stealing a black handled, silver balded pocket knife approximately a half hour later from 15 Parker Ave., where he was visiting a friend, and then allegedly used that knife to slash one vehicle tire at Frenchies Chevrolet and four vehicle tires at Frenchies Ford. Giarratabo was found hiding under a couch at 5:57 p.m. Thursday at 152 Water St.
Giarratano had been charged in June with a felony count of second-degree criminal mischief and a second-degree trespass violation. Police said Giarratano entered a bus parked behind the New Testament Church and broke approximately nine windows with a fire extinguisher at approximately 12:45 p.m. June 18.
