MASSENA - Frenchies Ford General Manager Scott Coupal and Frenchies Chevrolet President Real Frenchie Coupal have issued a challenge to area businesses to meet or beat their relief items donation that they donated to the drive that took place in Potsdam with area business owners there last week.
They need our help now more than ever according to Frenchie. We donated 60 cases of water and 30 bags of dog and cat food to the cause and we are issuing a challenge to other area businesses to either meet or beat that order.
Area busineses and the community can drop off items that are needed at Frenchies Ford, 216 East Orvis St., Massena, between 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Frenchies also has a forklift at its disposal but for any large items donated or bulk amounts of items donated folks are asked to call ahead so that the space and forklift can be made available at the time of delivery to Frenchies Ford.
We were very fortunate that the storm didnt affect our area, Scott said. Let us never forget the help and support of others during the ice storm in 1998 that affected the north country during sub-zero cionditions. We are used to cold climate. Those folks to the south are in for a long hard winter.
Scott and Frenchie agreed that these people are in bad shape and need these items as soon as possible.
Frenchies is currently in the process of trying to find a way to get all the items down to New York to the people in charge of distributing them once they have been collected.
If this is something that a business in the community can help with as far as transporting everything once it is collected, please contact Scott Coupal at Frenchies Ford at 315-764-1760
