CANTON - A St. Lawrence County grand jury handed up an indictment Thursday against a Massena man who was allegedly driving a car with a blood alcohol level more than double the state legal limit.
Joseph M. Olmstead, 30, of 62 Center St., Apt. 3, was indicted for aggravated driving while intoxicated and two counts of DWI. According to court documents, Mr. Olmstead was the operator of a 1988 on North Main Street, Massena, on Aug. 30 when stopped by police.
His blood alcohol content was recorded at 0.21 percent. The state legal limit is 0.08 percent. Olmstead was convicted of a misdemeanor DWI count Sept. 13, 2008 in Norfolk Town Court.
