A Watertown man was jailed Sunday on city police charges of second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Jeffery S. St. Onge, 25, of 130 Highland Ave., remained Monday in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, with bail set at $5,000 by part-time Watertown City Judge Catherine J. Palermo, and awaits possible grand jury action.
Police said he is accused in an incident Wednesday night with a 13-year-old girl in his home.
Police listed his name as Stonge, but according to the jail, his correct spelling is St. Onge.
