MASSENA — Robert J. LeBoeuf 91 of 49 Malby Ave, Massena peacefully passed away in his sleep at his home (November 17, 2012) Saturday evening. Friends and family may call Monday evening (November 19,2012) from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena. A Funeral Mass for Robert J. LeBoeuf will be held Tuesday (November 20, 2012) 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Jack Downs presiding. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving Robert is his beloved wife of 66 years Catherine (Kitty), his sons Robert J. and Alan J. and Laura both of Massena, Glen P. of Roseville, Mi. his daughter Jean E. LeBoeuf and partner Lori Blaha of Massena, six grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Robert was the last of 11 siblings.

Robert was born in Massena, NY April 25, 1921 the son of John and Elizabeth (Santimaw) LeBoeuf. He graduated from Massena High School.

Robert served his country honorably in the US Army Air Corp. during WW II. Following his discharge he worked in the St. Lawrence River Power in Alcoa. In 1956 Robert went to work at the New York State Power Authority and retired in 1984 as a Senior Control Operator.

He married Catherine Tyo June 1, 1946 at St. Lawrence Church with Rev. Patrick Riley presiding. After Robert’s retirement Robert and Kitty spent 23 wonderful winters in New Port Richey, Fl. and in the summers as a family were spent on their cottage on Wilson Hill.

Robert and Kitty for many years enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and golfing. Robert was member of the Am Vets Post # 4, Massena Elk’s Lodge B.P.O.E. # 1702 and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church.
