STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed James A. Berry, 21, of Angola for a stop sign violation at 7:44 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.



WINDOW TINT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Corey J. Smith, 22, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with illegal window tint following a traffic stop at 12:26 p.m. Monday on Main Street.



SUSPENDED REGISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Andris D. Rieksts, 48, of Hogansburg for operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration following a traffic stop at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday on East Orvis Street.



FAILURE TO TURN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Emily E. Gardner, 32, of state Route 420, Norfolk, for failure to turn as required at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday on Main Street at Water Street.



SUSPENDED REGISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Scott A. Grant, 42, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration and operation of a vehicle with no insurance following a traffic stop at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday on Main Street.



STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Aaron M. Thompson, 28, of Massena for a stop sign at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue at Alvern.



LEAVING THE SCENE - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Zhong Q. Zhu, 38, of New York, N.Y., for making an unsafe start and leaving the scene of a property damage accident at 10:11 p.m. Monday following a hit and run accident in the Price Chopper parking lot



CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - CANTON — A Canton man faces charges in connection with a domestic incident on Monday, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies said.

Zacharey J. Frisco, 20, of 11 Jameson Road, Lot 13, allegedly punched and dented a refrigerator door during a dispute and also damaged a table.

Frisco was charged with one misdemeanor count of fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was arraigned in Canton Town Court and released under the supervision of the Probation Department, deputies said. A temporary order of protection was issued in the case.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - NORFOLK - State police investigated several property damage accidents Monday in the region. Among those were:

Randy A. LaBar, 61, of Chase Mills at 6:26 p.m. on state Route 56, near Bray Road, in the town of Norfolk.

Patricia A. Rockhill, 45, of Brushton at 5:54 p.m. on Foster Road, near Frye Road, in the town of Fort Covington.

Amanda G. Mulverhill, 21, of Moira at 1:03 p.m. on state Route 458, near Dexter Road, in the town of Santa Clara.



BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police picked up Kurtis P. Moore, 20, of 43 Martin St., Massena, Tuesday afternoon on a bench warrant for an alleged violation of his release under the supervision of the probation department’s supervision. Probation officials alleged he had failed to successfully complete a treatment program. He was arraigned on the probation violation by St. Lawrence County Court Judge Jerome J. Richards and his release under probation supervision was continued with the stipulation he abide by a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.

Moore had pleaded guilty in late October to a third-degree burglary count in St. Lawrence County Court. He admitted he had illegally entered the Massena Country Club in the town of Louisville in September 2011.

Judge Richards had directed the probation department to conduct a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Feb. 19, 2012. Moore’s release under the supervision of the probation department was continued at the time he entered his plea.
