The classic novel by Louisa May Alcott has been updated into an exhilarating and uplifting musical for people of all ages to enjoy and makes a perfect start to the holiday season. The adventurous story line, clever and inventive lyrics, and glorious melodies and choreography will have you humming and tapping your toes as you leave the theater.

The story of the four March sisters coming of age against the backdrop of poverty and the Civil War tugs at the heart strings with hope, humor, triumph, tragedy, and joy. Jo wants to be a great writer and see the world, Meg wishes to be loved and admired, Amy yearns for a grander life, and Beth longs to play the piano and live a quiet life. The girls enlist their wealthy neighbor, Theodore Laurence the Third (Laurie) to be their partner in their adventures. Our heroine, Josephine March played by senior Shannon Smith, yearns to be a great writer and lead an adventurous life with her sisters by her side. As each of her sisters played by Cassie McCormick (Meg), Ariana Frascatore (Beth), and Rhea LaFleur (Amy) moves on, Jo must find a way to make her dreams come true.

The other main characters include Marmee (Aubrey Grudowski), Professor Bhaer (Noah Chichester), Theodore Laurence (Troy O’Brien), Aunt March (Elizabeth Smith), John Brooke (Taylor Prosper), Mr. Laurence (Jonathan Atchie), and Mrs. Kirk (Gwyneth Heuser).

Supporting characters include Savannah Bondellio (Clarissa), Michael Fritz (Braxton), Ivan Jukic (Rodrigo), Emily Wanamaker (Hag), Matt Cincinnati (Troll), Cassidy Easton (Knight) and Rodrigo 2 (Cristy Stoian).
