PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Leslie J. Moore, 27, of 1533 state Route 30, Constable, with petit larceny and criminal possession of a hypodermic needle at 7:35 p.m. Sunday on state Route 37. Village police said they had an bench warrant for Moore’s arrest after she failed to appear as directed on a sixth-degree conspiracy charge pending in Massena Vilage Court. The warrant had been signed on Nov. 13. Police said after they stopped the taxi Moore was a passenger in to pick her up on the warrant she volunteered information that led to the petit larceny count. She reportedly had shoplifted several items including cheddar jalapeno, Dasani water, Lady Speed Stick, toothpaste, a shaver and a toothbrush. While inventory her purse during processing, they located a needle and found sh ehad no presciption to possess the hypodermic instrument. She was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released after posting $1,000 cash bail.

DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Shannon T. Diamond, 37, of 714 Hamilton Ave., Wheelersburgh, Ohio, with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for crossing hazardous markings, illegally passing a red light and speed in zone at 11:)1 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Maple Street. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.15 percent. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher constitutes a driving while intoxicated charge.

DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged Thomas J. Moore, 40, of 42 Sherwood Drive, Massena, with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to keep right following an incident at 7:45 p.m. Saturday on Liberty Avenue. Police said Moore was operated a 2012 Camero on Liberty Avenue when he struck a parked 1998 Chevy Cavalier in front of 59 Liberty Ave. registered to Debora Pate. Police said Moore was at Charlie’s Tavern when he was placed under arrest. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.16 percent.

BENCH WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Floyd H. Smith, 24, of 555 Irish Settlement Road, Waddington, on a St. Lawrence County Court bench warrant at 1:04 p.m. Sunday at the police station. Smith was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility pending his arraignment Monday on the warrant.

BRAKE LIGHT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Kelsey M. Lanning, 18, of South Grasse River Road, Massena, for a brake light violation at 5:28 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop near Willow at Center Street.

FAILURE TO SIGNAL - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Patrick Lloyd, 24, of 322 East 115th St., Apt. A, New York, N.Y., for failure to signal, failure to exhibit license and operation of a vehicle with the driver’s view obstructed following a traffic stop at 3:35 p.m. Sunday on Haskell Street.

AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Kahontineh Swamp, 38, of Cook Road, Hogansburg, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for speed in zone at 1:18 p.m. Sunday on state Route 37.

FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jonathan J. Hazelton, 30, of Massena for failure to yield the right of way on a left turn following an incident at 9:12 a.m. Sunday on state Route 37.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ronald J. Joubert, 20, of Wallace Road, Norfolk, for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 10:25 p.m. Saturday on Liberty Avenue.
