CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - MASSENA - Village police charged Richard L. Schwartfigure, 18, of 242 Center St., Massena, and Tyler E. Provost, 17, of 66 Spruce St., Massena, with fourth-degree criminal mischief, two counts of discharging a firearm in the village and resisting arrest following an incident that started at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police said they responded to a complaint that two men had shot out the storm windows on the storm door and the interior door at 111 Woodlawn Ave. after they had chased a male teenager that lived at that residence down the street. That teenager is reportedly Provost’s girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

The teens also reportedly fired a shots at a vehicle parked at 105 Liberty Ave. and the back of homes on Woodlawn Avenue.

Police said they located Schwartfigure and Provost but the two teens ran into a residence at 66 Spruce St. Police said they were given permission to search the residence and located the two teenagers hiding in an upstair’s bedroom.

The two men reportedly used a long-style BB gun.
