PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Nancy L. Norris, 44, of 947 state Route 420, Winthrop, with petit larceny at 2:28 p.m. Saturday following an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart. She reportedly went past the last point of sale without paying for $240.10 worth of merchandise, including a phone, steak, shrimp, bacon, dog food and numerous other items.
MENACING - MASSENA - Village police charged a 14-year-old male juvenile with second-degree menacing stemming from a Nov. 29 incident on Spruce Street. That same teenager was charged with petit larceny Thursday stemming from an incident on Woodlawn Avenue. The teenager, whose name was not released because he is under 16 years of age, had his case turned over to the probation department to determined if he will be petitioned to St. Lawrence County Family Court.
SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed several people for speeding on Saturday.
■ Stacy M. Arquiett, 35, of McCarthy, Winthrop, for speed in zone at 2:12 p.m. on the Willow Street Extension.
■ Jason L. Converse, 34, of County Route 36, Massena, for speed in zone at 11:28 a.m. on the South Raquette River Road.
■ Barry M. Montour, 50, of Hogansburg for speed in zone at 10:47 a.m. on East Hatfield Street.
STOP SIGN - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Ian P. Hawkins, 16, of Chase Mills for a stop sign violation at 1:55 p.m. Saturday on Grove Street near Ridgewood Avenue.
