BRASHER FALLS - The Massena Central varsity boys basketball team relayed a 17-5 first-quarter lead into a 53-32 win on the road over St. Lawrence Central in an NAC interdivisional matchup on Wednesday.

Zack Rusaw and Xavier Viskovich anchored the Massena offense with 13 points apiece. Joey LaBelle tossed through another 11 followed by Tyler Haas with six and Zevon Viskovich with four. Logan Deshane, David Phillips and Rhoades Tarbell closed out the Raider scoresheet with two points each.

Zane Ramsdell paced the Larries with a game-high 14 points. Josh White chipped in 10 followed by Cody Meacham with five, Jesse Greer with two and Tyler Savage with one.

Massena (2-0) returns to action this evening with a Central Division game on the road against Gouverneur while the Larries (1-2) make their North Division debut tonight at Tupper Lake.

In the lone high school girls basketball game played on Wednesday, Harrisville dropped a 67-42 non-league decision to Thousand Islands.
