MALONE - The Massena Central varsity wrestling team improved to 2-1 in the NAC after pulling away to a 67-16 decision on the road over Franklin Academy on Tuesday.
The Raiders scored a total of six pins in downing the Huskies; Jeremy Malone over Keiffer Krackenberger in 3:26 at 220 pounds, Nolan Terrance over Joe Juarez in 2:13 at 285 pounds, Skyler Cameron over Dakota Gratton in 1:43 at 120 pounds, Konner German over Travis Beach in 28 seconds at 126 pounds, Landon Laughlin over Fernanco Hinojosa in 40 seconds at 138 pounds and Isaiah Perry over Dekota Connell in 1:54 at 152 pounds.
Hunter Perrine gained a major decision over Christian Fountain at 160 pounds and Michael Brown outscored Cameron Searles 9-7 at 106 pounds to account for the other Massena wins on the mat. Winning by forfeit were Jarrett Harvey (195), Brian Plourde (99), Kyl Ling (113) and Ethan Marcell (170).
The Raiders are slated to travel to Star Lake on Friday to take on Clifton-Fine.
