ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged Sheldon L. Cole, 37, of 44 Indian Village Road, Hogansburg, with third-degree assault at 1:454 a.m. Saturday on Andrews Street. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and ordered held at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. The court also signed a temporary order of protection. Prior to be be transported to Canton, Cole complained of chest pain while being held at the Massena Police Department lockup. He was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital by Massena Rescue for evaluation.
