Max, Locey’s net Massena Adult Basketball wins


MASSENA - Locey’s and Max remained two games back of the A Division lead after netting Sunday wins in Massena Adult Basketball action from the high school gym.

Also notching wins were Murray’s- Bessett’s-Dave’s II, Canton EDU, North Country Customs and the Turnovers.

Max 79, Mort Backus&Sons 71: Mike Womble tallied 27 points and 11 rebounds in the winning effort. Zach Reagan added 21 points, including five three-pointers.

Josh Sharlow netted 20 points in the losing cause. Sean Backus chipped in 15 points and 10 boards while Scott Gray logged 12 points and 13 boards.

Locey’s 56, The Lounge 50 (OT): Jehrod Hall anchored the win with 24 points and 20 boards. Eddie Moses chipped in 14 points.

Mike Donnelly had 20 points and Josh Hammond another 12 in the loss.

M-B-D 53, KT Powers 49: Corey Maxner and Jared Poore (10 rebounds) paced the winning offense with 14 points each.

James Snyder tossed through 14 points for KT Powers while Chris Havens pulled down 10 rebounds.

Canton EDU 98, Midway Market 57: Sean Pearson drained seven three-pointers in a 29-point outing for Canton EDU. Troy Lassial added 28 points and 17 rebounds while John Hampton connected for another 17 points.

Jordan Preve paced Midway Market with 18 points followed by Austin Martin with 16 and Ed Watkins (15 rebounds) with 15.

NC Customs 76, Brasher 46: Jake McLaughlin led the winning offense with 21 points, including five threes. Brandon Cayea tossed through another 17 points while Brandon White fashioned 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocks.

Brian Ramsdell also notched five three-pointers in a 21-point game for Brasher. Bryan Bordeleau chipped in 10 points.

The Turnovers 65, Akwesasne Sports 59: Matt Brabaw sparked the win with 28 points and 11 rebounds while Jake Rowley fashioned 22 points and 12 boards.

For Akwesasne Sports, Mike Russell netted 21 points followed by Ji Faulkner with 14.

B Division: Murray’s-Bessette’s-Dave’s II 4-4, Midway Market 4-5, Open Net 1-7, KT Power 0-8.
